education and experience

I graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of the Arts degree and later earned a Masters in Social Work degree at the University of Southern California. While in graduate school, I practiced counseling at LA Conservation Corps' Headquarters High School and Pasadena Unified School District. I worked as a psychiatric social worker within the Los Angeles Unified School District and as the lower school counselor at Sinai Akiba Academy for several years.  Currently, I work in private practice full time.

I was trained in mindfulness meditation at Insight LA and UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC). I use mindfulness strategies and lead meditations for my clients. I also co-facilitate free mindfulness/wellness groups with at-risk youth at Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services.
